Anime Expo 2023 attendees were treated to the U.S. premiere of Episode 1 of Rurouni Kenshin featuring special guests Soma Saito (Kenshin Himura), Rie Takahashi (Kaoru Kamiya), and Aniplex producer Masami Niwa. The audience were also treated to a surprise message from cast members Taku Yashiro (Sanosuke Sagara) and Makoto Koichi (Yahiko Myojin).
